What personal data we collect

• When you fill out a contact form, we request your full name and e-mail address.

• When you subscribe to our newsletter, we request your e-mail address.

• When you register at our e-shop, you fill out a registration form where your e-mail and password are requested.

• To initiate a transaction with our e-shop, prospective customers must disclose some of their personal data. When a customer places an order, we request the following data: full name, shipping address, landline telephone number, (or any other telephone number the customer wishes to disclose), e-mail address, and in case the customer has chosen to pay for the products by credit card, both the credit card number and its expiration date will be requested.


Why we collect this information

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your information to send you an informative newsletter related to our products, which contains information about our products and often includes special offers. We request your consent to do so and shall only send you our newsletter for as long as you continue to agree.

Depending on the purpose of your visit and the service you wish to receive through our Website, the type of personal data we collect will include information such as full name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, etc. Take note that Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) does not cover the processing of personal data of legal entities and particularly, companies established as legal entities, including the company name, type and contact details of the legal entity.

When you fill in and send the contact form, we use your information to reply to your message.

When you register at our e-shop, your e-mail is used so that we can identify you in case there is a problem when you are logging in. Your password can be used only by you.

The data you fill out to initiate your transaction with our e-shop is used to verify your information so that the payment can be completed, your order can be processed and your purchases can be shipped. Also, we send a retail receipt of your purchases to your e-mail and we may use your telephone number to contact you regarding the delivery of your purchases.


What we do with your information

Regarding the data obtained from your subscription to our newsletter, the contact form and the registration e-mail on our website, your information is stored in our database and is not shared with any third parties. We will not use this information to make automated decision that may somehow affect you.

As part of our activities, if you are interested in working with our company, we may share your information with third external partners so that they may contact you and explore the possibility of collaborating with you.

As for transactions, the customer’s relevant details are entered in the bank’s system (e.g. credit card number and its expiration date) so that the payment process can be completed for the ordered products, and are thereafter deleted. After having received the customer’s consent, the company may use personal information, with the exception of the aforementioned data that is disclosed to the bank, for promotional purposes and updates concerning its products.

In addition to the above, the specific data will in no way be disclosed, transferred, made public or sold to third parties, unless otherwise mandated by some Public Authority (court, etc).


How long we keep your information

When you create an account with us, the information from your orders that may result from the transactions is kept in our company’s database until the expiry of the limitation period, based on legislation. The data disclosed to the relevant bank regarding the execution of transactions, such as the credit card number and its expiration date, is not kept by our company.

Regarding the information that is obtained from the newsletter and contact form, it is kept for as long as you consent to being informed about our products or promotional activities carried out by our company.


Your rights regarding your data

By law, you have the right to ask us what information we keep in our database about you and you are entitled to request its rectification if it is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask for the deletion of your information or to request a copy of the information we retain.

Also, you reserve the right to data portability of your information.

Why do we use your personal data?

In case you send us your CV, we will process your personal data included in it in order to evaluate the possibility of working with you to fill existing vacancies. If there are no vacancies and if you agree, Kafea Terra will keep your CV to let you know if there are any future vacancies that may suit your qualifications and interests.


What kind of data do we process?

We process the personal data contained in your CV, such as name, gender, date of birth, home address, contact details, employment history, education information, personal interests & job recommendations.

Kafea Terra does not seek to collect personal data that discloses racial or ethnic origin, political views, religious or philosophical beliefs or trade union membership or genetic data, biometric data for the sole purpose of identifying a natural person, or data relating to the sexual life or sexual orientation of a natural person.


How do we collect your data?

Your data is collected directly by you, when you send your CV to Kafea Terra BENELUX yourself, through its website, by e-mail or when you deliver it to its offices. We also collect resumes from staffing companies.


How long do we keep your CV?

We keep your CV until you cover the position to which they relate. In case you give us your explicit consent, we will keep your CV for 2 years after filling this position. In case you are hired by our company, we will keep your CV until the expiration of the contract between us and for 6 months thereafter, unless there are legal, tax or other reasons that require its retention for a longer period and until its expiration at that time.

 

What is the legal basis for processing your personal data?

The processing of your personal data contained in your CV is necessary in order to assess, following your expression of interest in sending your CV, the possibility of your cooperation with Kafea Terra Benelux or in case of employment contract between us, for the performance of that contract. When you consent to the retention of your CV in order to be informed about future jobs, this processing is based on your consent.
